Mark is an award-winning Chief Human Capital Officer who’s worked for some of the world’s leading brands. He’s been an expatriate and scaled operations across Asia-Pacific, EMEA and South America.

Mark is an award-winning Chief Human Capital Officer who’s worked for some of the world’s leading brands. His early HR career began in Fortune 200 companies including Academy firms (Pepsi-Co and Kraft Nabisco). He’s held FT & Interim roles in 1st position industries, both Public and Private, and leverages his unique Operations background, breadth of Vertical knowledge and Business School Advisory Board experience to benefit his clients.

His global background includes expatriate assignments in Hong Kong & Chile and scaling operations in 50+ countries across Asia-Pacific, EMEA and Latin & South America. Mark’s appeared on CNBC Asia’s The Winners and been featured in the Asian Wall St. Journal and Far Eastern Economic Review. In addition, he chaired the Human Resources Committee of the Hong Kong American Chamber of Commerce and was appointed by the Government of the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong China as an Employer Representative to the Hong Kong Provident Fund Scheme.

His start-up history includes the Solera IPO ($1B with 5500 employees operating in 70 countries), the Solae JV (then owned by Bunge & DuPont – pooled assets from 4 companies to form a $2B, 6000 employee enterprise operating in 35 countries), and participation in over 40 PE/VC backed deals and equity transactions valued > $3.7B.

Since 2018, Mark’s participated in 5 M&A spin-offs and “buy-side” transactions across Software/In-Flight Entertainment Systems/Molecular Electronics Chip Technology/Food & Beverage/DTC Retail involving hundreds to thousands of staff across the U.S., Mexico and the EU with transaction values to $400MM.

Entrepreneurial Background
The majority of Mark’s career has been in PE-backed entrepreneurial environments, including 20+ years in Founder-led companies with 3 Founder-clients the past 5 years. He understands the passion Founders have for their business and their zest for building purpose-driven cultures and has a demonstrated track record supporting agile, high-growth companies. For example, he crafted the org design, processes, systems and attracted & built the talent capability to enable 20%+ per quarter growth for 12 consecutive quarters leading to publicly-traded Ventana Medical Systems’ recognition as a Forbes Top 20 Best Small Company.

Interim Assignments
Since 2018, he’s successfully fulfilled 3 Interim CHRO assignments including 2 roles post-deal transaction. In addition, he provided concurrent fractional counsel to the CEO, Board and Exec team of a high-growth Series A – C molecular electronics chip company to rapidly scale for IPO. During his tenure, he partnered with the Chair of the Compensation Committee to analyze, craft & implement recommendations on Equity, Total Rewards and Benefit Plan enhancements and succession planning for their Executive Team. Interim client companies ranged in scope from Pre-Series C with < 50 staff to hundreds and thousands of team members.
